80th Annual Bud Billiken Parade on Aug.8, 2009
Illinois Service Federal Savings & Loan Association (ISF), celebrating its 75th year of service to customers on Chicago’s South Side and beyond, was a proud participant in the recent 80th Annual Bud Billiken Parade on Aug.8, 2009. The parade, which has always stressed literacy and helps prepare kids to return to school in the Fall, chose the theme, “Education: Yes We Can” this year.
ISF’s Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer Norman J. Williams, was interviewed by several media at the event where he stressed “financial literacy” – the fact that everyone needs to learn how to use a bank, save money, and own property. ISF’s roots were firmly planted in 1934, during The Great Depression era, and has been giving its customers exceptional service since that time. The bank has two locations—4619 S. King Drive and 8700 S King Drive.
